My clinic is not as profitable as I would like it to be.

Surely that is obvious right? There is not enough money in your bank account at the end of the month/year! Well no it is not as simple as that. When talking to business owners like you the challenge around profit can be from not being clear what we want to achieve. How we measure this accurately month by month. Or perhaps how we increase the level of profit.

Let’s be clear. When we discuss profit it is the EBITDA (Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation). In other words what the business is making before the necessary end of year adjustments by your accountant.

It should exclude a market rate salary for the time that you work in the business, although not any additional drawings that you take from the business.

By analysing your financial metrics and clinical KPI’s we can benchmark you against industry norms and other similar sized businesses, to identify where improvements can be made and set a strategy to ultimately improve your profit.
